Evaluation Criteria and Process

Phase 2: Merit Review and Selection of Finalists

Each eligible application submitted will be reviewed in Phase 2 during Bootcamp by Innovest starting with proper documentation submitted as per the application categorization. Once the due diligence is done, review will be conducted by advisory committee.

All Technical Mentors and Core Working Committee shall sign the Innovest Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality agreements prior to viewing applications during bootcamp session as well as during entrepreneurship grooming sessions for the Top 10 finalist.

Using the above criteria, up to 10 Jabchor 2.0 Investment Pitch Finalist will be selected based on merit, with representation from across the country with a balance of Idea, Startup and Growth stage applications.

Stage-Specific Evaluation

A. Idea Stage

Criteria

  1. Problem Clarity (Clear need identified)
  2. Solution Uniqueness (Innovation level)
  3. Market Potential (Scalability in Bhutan/abroad)
  4. Team Capability (Founder skills/advisors)
  5. Execution Plan (6-month roadmap)

B. Startup Stage (> 1 year operation)

Criteria

  1. Business Traction (Revenue/customers)
  2. Product Validation (Testimonials)
  3. Financial Health (CIB report/forecasts)
  4. Scalability (Expansion plans)
  5. Legal Compliance (Trade license, etc.)

C. Growth Stage (> 5-year operation)

Criteria

  1. Financial Performance (last 3-year revenue trends)
  2. Market Expansion (Export readiness)
  3. Operational Maturity (HR/financial systems)
  4. Investment Readiness (Use of funds/exit plan)
  5. Social Impact (Jobs/GNH alignment)
